About the Department
The Department of Information Technology (IT) at the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) is a premier academic department offering cutting-edge education in Computer Science and Engineering. Established under the Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal, the department is committed to academic excellence, innovation, and research in the field of Information Technology.
The department is also known as CUKIT, ITCUK, IT CUK, and ITCUKASHMIR. It is part of the School of Engineering and Technology at the Central University of Kashmir.
Academic Programs
B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering
A 4-year undergraduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering covering data structures, algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, database systems, computer networks, and web development.
M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering
A 2-year postgraduate programme focused on advanced topics in AI, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software engineering.
PhD in Computer Science & Engineering
Doctoral research programme for scholars interested in pursuing original research in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, Internet of Things, and big data analytics.
Admission Information
Admission to B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes at the Department of IT, Central University of Kashmir is conducted through CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and university-specific entrance examinations.
